What is Pseudoscience?
31st August 2026
After our recent 40th anniversary celebrations, David and Liz wrote to say that they were unable to make it to our most recent AGM, held at our conference, but that they did make it to the first one! They sent me a picture of the program for the first conference, including the AGM at lunch time on the Sunday, as well as a picture of the book they purchased from speaker David Marks.
Liz and I are amongst the few who attended the 1986 AGM. David Marks, who spoke, had a recently published book. Unfortunately we were too busy to attend the recent one.
Keep up the good work.
David and Liz Crook.

We’ve not just heard from David and Liz. Lance Kennedy wrote to let us know that some exposure to UV light might be beneficial. We’ve also heard from Patrick, who is back in the saddle detailing the latest climate change news. Committee member Hamish has the first of two UFO related articles in this week’s newsletter, on the psychosocial UFO hypothesis - with another to come that promises to look at the physics of space travel.
I’ve written about Angel Numbers, and found an unusual critic of the idea. Katrina’s looked into a Greek amphitheatre in northern Italy that seems a little fishy to say the least. And finally Bronwyn’s written the first of two articles about charity sponsorship of children in far away countries.
