What's next, Menopausal Barbie?
Mark Honeychurch - 20th January 2026
We’re back to our normal schedule after taking something of a break over Christmas, so those of you who listen to our podcast should see our next episode come out next weekend. Given that we’ve skipped a couple of episodes there are quite a few articles to talk about, so it might be a long one!
Some of the topics we may cover on the podcast are in this week’s newsletter, starting with Katrina’s look into menopause supplements - something she’s been seeing more and more adverts for recently, given that social media appears to have profiled her as being a target demographic. Bronwyn has looked into all things autism, including a new season of The Telepathy Tapes, autistic Barbie and a new study looking at whether alt-med is useful for treating autism. Finally I’ve thrown together a fairly maths-heavy article looking at a relatively new aerospace company, questioning whether their business model of shining sunlight down onto earth makes any sense whatsoever. I’ve used the guesstimating skills I was taught during my engineering degree to run some rough calculations, and somehow my answers look very different to the ones the company is putting out there.
