MENZ vs Reality

Some of you may be aware of the MENZ (Masculinist Evolution New Zealand) website that Katrina mentioned in her article. menz.org.nz is a men’s rights website that claims to advocate for men, especially in cases of custody rights, sexual abuse allegations, etc. The strapline on the site describes their remit as:
MENZ Issues: news and discussion about New Zealand men, fathers, family law, divorce, courts, protests, gender politics, and male health.
The About page explains the origins of the website, back in the late 1990s:
This website was started in May 1997 by members of Men’s Centre North Shore Inc. Following the foundation of the NZ Union of Fathers (uof.org.nz) in 2001, the committee decided to withdraw from political activism and concentrate on developing support services for separated fathers negotiating the Family Court. Menz.org.nz is now owned and administered by the current webslave John Potter.
The MENZ website’s “webslave”, John Potter, is the son of the infamous Centrepoint commune/cult leader Bert Potter. If you’re not familiar with Centrepoint, I recommend you read or watch one or more of the many articles and documentaries that have been made about the commune.
Now, the men’s rights movement is a controversial topic. I have no doubt that there are people and groups out there who are fighting for justice in legitimate cases where men have been unfairly treated by the courts and public. You can see in this article, for instance, that a men’s rights conference a few years ago included some legitimate concerns, including around the “parental alienation” issue that Katrina’s article this week is about. But beyond those rational ideas, the article talks about audience members and speakers who seemed more interested in denigrating women than correcting injustices against men.
The Website
Coming back to the MENZ website, I’ve been interested on and off over the last ten years or more to see what the level of discourse is on the site. These days John seems to have a very hands-off role, leaving the posting of news items to a few other men who are among the most active on the site. To guide these men in their posting, as well as the few people who comment on the posts, there’s a Rules page that says:
Be Respectful
Posts that are inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, sexually oriented, threatening, rude, mean, nasty, or invasive of a person’s privacy are not permitted.
There’s also a disclaimer on the About page that makes me think that these rules don’t really mean much, as it says that there is no moderation, and the only posts or comments that will be removed are ones that are illegal:

I don’t think that having a hands-off approach when the website in question deals with controversial topics is a very good idea, but let’s see what the regular contributors have been posting to the website over the last few years. I won’t link to the articles, as I don’t think they deserve any kind of promotion, but you should be able to find them by simply picking a short phrase from the parts I’ve quoted and searching for them, in quotes, in google. Anyway, here’s a selection of pseudoscientific nonsense that has been posted to the site recently in the name of promoting men’s rights:
The Posts
SHOCK DISCOVERY: Any time a woman has sex with a man, she retains his DNA in her brain
New research from Seattle University and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Centre has accidentally revealed that a portion of DNA from every man with whom a woman has sex ends up staying with her forever, lodged in her brain.
Women who save themselves for marriage and who only ever have sex with one man become joined to that one man and him only. Women who engage in promiscuous sex, we now know, are altering their bodies in ways that are only just now beginning to be understood.
My ex must have at least 50 or maybe 100 different male DNA in her brain. Always though there was something wrong with her thought process.
This post links to an article posted to Natural News, which anyone who’s been a skeptic for a while will probably recognise as Mike Adams’ horrifically pseudoscientific alternative medicine website, where disinformation is spread and unproven remedies are sold.
Of course, the actual paper that is referenced in the Natural News article says nothing remotely like the summary on Natural News or the MENZ site. The study looked at how many women, from a sample of 59, had a marker (the Y chromosome DYS14 gene) that suggested they had some male DNA in their brain (something called microchimerism - where small amounts of foreign DNA from the same species are found inside an animal). They propose that this may be due to the women having given birth to a male child (although they didn’t have access to any records to confirm or deny this), with the child’s DNA having crossed over into the mother, and then across her blood-brain barrier. And, as with many scientific papers, this one warns that it’s preliminary and that more research is needed.

Carol Adams should be sent to a mental ward or at the very least have intense counselling.
Carol Adams is not pursued by 99.99% of males or woman simply because she is not desirable. That face lift is long overdue, and for the sake of society she needs to start thinking about retirement in a secure unit. In short, keep your gender hating ideology to yourself.
If you are overweight of any gender, try a beef only diet for 6 weeks, you will start to lose Kg’s within a week to two. Keep it up for 3 months and then move to a low carps diet with mostly meat, eggs and vegetables.
If you can ignore the horrible comments about Carol Adams, you may notice mention of a “beef only diet”. Although taking dietary (or any medical) advice from an anonymous person on the internet may spice up your life a little, there’s no evidence that a carnivore diet, or the hardcore version where you restrict yourself to meat from only one animal, will help you lose weight safely. If medical experts are telling you not to attempt a carnivore diet, and LukeNZ on the MENZ website is telling you to do it, I trust that you can make the sensible choice here.
If I were the deep state, and I wanted less families and population I would make laws to destroy men so they do not have children.
If I were the deep state, I would allow false sex accusations from women, pay them huge sums of money for their statement and virtually never prosecute if it was false.
If I were the deep state and I wanted to know and take full control over what people spend their money on. I would take away cash and make all transaction electronic. I would regulate how much they could spend, who they traded with and what I will immediately take from the transaction.
If I were the deep state, I would place a near field I/d and tracker inside everyone’s hand.

I am sure you can think of other things I could do if I were the deep state.
There is an election coming! The only time a politician listens and are forced to make comment and keep or get on the payroll is now. Each of us has a TV station and news network build inside our phones. The free app is called Telegram. Install it. Use it, put it online. Hold them to account.
Although the idea of the “deep state” historically has some academic merit, these days conspiracy theorists have co-opted the word and seem to use it as a less embarrassing term than talking about “the Illuminati” - but to a large extent it’s the same thing in their minds. We can see here that this post is warning everyone that the Deep State would like to track and control our spending, follow our movements with an injected tracking device, and more. Thinking about it, this also sounds a lot like the Beast System I wrote about a few weeks ago, related to the Rapture and the coming of the Antichrist.

Okay, now we’re not even bothering to write in full sentences? This looks like a clear case of JAQing off - this author is Just Asking Questions. There’s a question mark at the end of each of those outlandish claims, so if they turn out to be wrong it’s okay because they weren’t really claims at all - just questions.
Needless to say, there’s no evidence that puberty blockers are secretly being used to stop certain people from having children by sterilising them. There is, however, some evidence that puberty blockers are being used as a successful treatment for gender dysphoria and the mental health issues that it can cause - although it’s early days yet, and there are some potential issues with the research that has been completed so far.

Emergency services rushed to treat the first-term MP after he collapsed.
He was participating in a charity event for ChildFund in Auckland’s Britomart when the incident occurred.
Staff at the scene were visibly emotional and crying as medical work appeared to stop on Collins.

Not having followed the fortunes of Collins whilst being busy with other issues. I’ve only just read that he was Samoan but did know he had gravitated from Labour to the Greens.
The immediate question though is, why another younger man has just dropped dead? It’s becoming all too common these days and although it isn’t men alone it appears to be more males than females.
The question will be asked: Was he vaccinated?_
It appears we’re still Just Asking Questions, but this time it’s about vaccines. Given Efeso Collins’ enthusiastic support of an Auckland vaccine drive in the middle of the COVID pandemic, it seems likely that he was vaccinated. But it’s really not very nice when sentiment like that displayed in this post ends up driving someone (in this case ex All Black Shane Christie) to harass Efeso’s widow about his vaccination status soon after he died. And no, we’re not seeing the kinds of mass deaths anti-vaxxers were warning about a couple of years ago - those of us who were vaccinated aren’t dropping dead like flies.
– The white ribbon slogan “Prevention of violence against women”. Men are excluded because it is thought they can only ever be considered the perpetrators. Does this have the potential to cause a male suicide?
– Ministry for women, but no ministry for men.
– Throughout the world factual evidence with video, photos in family law courts from fathers are ignored while allegations without any evidence are accepted. Does this have the potential to cause a male suicide?
– To lock men up in prisons for decades so they can’t pollute the planet, consuming, driving cars, having children and consuming its resources. Does this have the potential to cause a male suicide?
– Serious crimes women commits are treated, handled differently than mens crimes?
This is not an extensive list. You can probably think of many more yourself. They are all designed to destroy men’s wealth, future income, their child’s relationship, take on an unfair burden of the tax liability to run the state, limit their options in life with allegations, regardless of the verdict end.
Oddly enough, these laws are mirrored throughout the western world. A world where politicians come and go. But there is one group of people who remain in power with full ownership and control of the media, the banks, the drug companies, the internet and your privacy, the things we buy. They own the lot. They control it.
Could it be all about reducing the planet’s population? To reduce the waste and save our planet? Forcing men to not have children because the personal cost and risk is too high.
There are a lot of bold claims made here, and not much in the way of evidence to back them up. I’m not sure whether the penultimate paragraph is insinuating that all of these perceived injustices against men are because of the Jewish Elites (you know, the ones with the Space Laser), or just the Elites in general - but either way, it’s an icky claim to be making. This post reads as pretty paranoid.
Comments
I wanted to focus on the articles, as they have presumably all been vetted and approved by the admins of the site. However, many of the comments are also eye-opening. A huge number of them, written by someone going by the name of DJ Ward, are long pieces of prose. I’ll show you just one comment that caught my eye. The post was a long video in which Jordan Peterson talks with Piers Morgan about how hard life is for men (and amongst other things Jordan says he thinks people with compassion are actually fascists):

It’s true young single men are underrepresented when it comes to government support and financial aid. We’re expected to be fine on our own while immigrants and women of color get all the treatment.
There were many more posts and comments that made it obvious that the authors need a little skepticism in their lives. Some were sympathetic towards NZDSOS (the anti-vax doctors in NZ), and others were conspiratorially talking about organisations such as the United Nations and the World Health Organisation. Not much of the conversation seemed well-reasoned or evidence based, and there wasn’t really much of any push-back against the hateful content that’s being posted to the site, beyond a couple of people who seem to have created accounts just to poke fun at the site’s members.
Thankfully the frequency of new posts appearing has slowed down a lot recently. I really hope that trend continues, given that the content of the website appears much more likely to do damage and make things worse than to help anyone who’s in need.
