Call out for help fighting pseudoscience!
Craig Shearer (July 11, 2022)
In my last newsletter, I put a call out for people to help with a project investigating pharmacies and the pseudoscientific products they had on their shelves. We got a good response, with several people coming on board to help with the project.
NZ Skeptics committee member Dan Ryan has been coordinating the project and now needs some further help.
We know that some pharmacies are filled with things like homeopathic remedies, magical teas and ear candles. What are these even doing in a pharmacy?
One of the aspects of the project is to reveal how widespread the practise is. We need photos of nonsense products from pharmacies around New Zealand.
If you'd like to help us out, we'd be happy to accept photos from you. Please send any photos you can take for us, along with the date they were taken and the name and address of the pharmacy, to pharmacy@skeptics.nz
