Membership Renewals
Bronwyn Rideout - 19 February 2024
Over the last couple of weeks we’ve received a few emails from members about our membership system, specifically the renewals process. We’re happy to report that, if you see a charge on your card from the NZ Skeptics, it’s not a scam - it’s simply that your account is set to auto-renew each year.
The NZ Skeptics have been using Memberful for the past few years to manage our membership list, and by default our membership subscriptions are set to auto-renew each year. If you are a paid member, one month before your subscription is due you will receive a renewal notice from the NZ Skeptics; you might find this email in your junk folder!
If you don’t want your membership to auto-renew, you can visit https://nzskeptics.memberful.com/ to turn this off. Simply click on “Subscriptions” in the menu on the left side, and then click to “Cancel subscription”. You can also email us at secretary@skeptics.nz, and we can turn off the auto-renewal for you.
If you still have time remaining on your current membership, don’t worry - you won’t lose this. You will continue to be a paid-up member until your current membership term runs out. And, if you’ve subscribed to our newsletter, you’ll continue to receive this even if you’re no longer a paying member.
Whatever you choose, we thank you for your support of the NZ Skeptics, and the work we continue to do to tackle pseudoscience in New Zealand.
