A White Coat Cassandra

Dr. Emanuel Garcia, writing on Substack under the name NewZealandDoc, is a psychiatrist. Dr. Garcia received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 1986. He had a successful career in psychiatry and psychoanalysis in the U.S. — and then, in 2006, he emigrated to New Zealand where he practiced medicine. When the Covid pandemic led to government rules to limit the spread of the disease that he disagreed with, Dr. Garcia found himself unable to acquiesce to these measures. This led to a suspension of his license to practise medicine.

Dr Garcia is not only Covid anti-vax and an advocate of non-mainstream medical treatment for the disease, he is also trying to make the wider populace aware that Covid is all part of a gigantic plot to depopulate much of the world and subjugate the survivors. He writes:

“the whole phoney covid pandemic was an ‘operation’ perpetrated upon the globe by a powerful faction that sought not only to enrich their already rich selves but to enslave us and, with their bioweapons, to kill and maim… there is — a conspiracy… It was a bunch of high-placed people who set about controlling and literally destroying a large swath of the world’s population, deliberately, and relentlessly.

They are still going at it and with more than just the lethal Jab…

The scale of their operation is immense and its fruits should be visible by now to anyone who dares to think.”

In support of this position he offers a fictional report of a “highly secret meeting” of what we may call the “Cabal”. The Cabal in session I recommend reading it. It’s not long and Dr Garcia, apart from being a doctor, is also a writer and poet – all he lacks in his imagining is a fluffy white Persian cat being patted on the chairman’s lap. But that might have been a bridge too far for him.

I can only assume that Dr Garcia believes something like the above fiction must have happened sometime – that a cabal of rich and highly influential people have deliberately set out to exterminate a large swath of the world’s peoples using a bio-weapon under the guise of a Covid vaccine. And this is only the beginning of their diabolical plot, which includes:

If this were not enough, there will be another “even more lethal pandemic” released in the future to further terrify the surviving (of the Covid vaccine) masses, who will then be so cowed as to make their enslavement easy.

Note that Dr. Garcia does use the phrase “even more lethal pandemic” which would rather imply the present Covid pandemic is not a bug no worse than the seasonal flu. Or maybe the next pandemic won’t be too bad.

He points out that there was “no real science” behind anti-Covid measures including lockdowns, social distancing, the requirement for masks in public places or a vaccine that had not been tested over years . He insists that promising treatments were suppressed or proscribed. He gives the examples of “zinc, zinc ionophores such as Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine and Quercetin, Vitamin C, or Vitamin D”. He suggests the health profession should have considered the benefits of natural immunity, early treatment (using what?) and a genuine vaccine tested over years for safety and efficacy.

But if a “genuine” vaccine should be tested over years for efficacy, then so perhaps this should be a requirement for “zinc, zinc ionophores such as Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine and Quercetin, Vitamin C, or Vitamin D”. He also claims that a treatment for Covid had been developed and seemed to be successful – perhaps it was one of those above – he doesn’t say what or give a reference. Evidence needed. He also espouses preventative measures such as sunlight, exercise, good nutrition, natural immunity and vitamins. While these may be good things in themselves, he offers no evidence that they are preventative against Covid infections.

What Dr. Garcia and his Freedom fellow-travellers, with their complaint that there was “no real science” behind anti-Covid measures, fail to concede is that the only pandemic in the era of modern medicine was the 1918 flu. Covid was poorly understood in its early days and might also have caused millions of deaths, for all health officials knew. So governments were making up their responses “on the fly”. We can compare the effectiveness of differing measures across countries and see what worked well and what didn’t. But Dr Garcia has the benefit of hindsight and seems to believe early measures can be criticised (masks, social distancing, isolation, etc) as ineffective and merely a dress rehearsal for large-scale social control.

Facebook posts claim Amish religious communities have not been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Perhaps in support of a natural approach, Dr Garcia adopts this claim. The Amish of Pennsylvania, who shun the technology of the modern world, “did exceedingly well throughout the covid wars, despite their rejection of masking, distancing and ‘vaccination’”. One counter-claim on the Internet (there are others) says “Braxton Mitchell, a genetic epidemiologist at the University of Maryland School of Medicine who studies Amish populations, said: “I can tell you that Amish in many communities that I know of have been hit particularly hard by Covid.” It is “not surprising since many Amish do not practice social distancing and do not wear masks,” he said. This might not be described as an “exceedingly well” outcome from the absence of vaccination and other public measures.

Because the evil “vaccines” were created by different manufacturers, their killing efficacy will be spread out over time. Some batches will have immediate killing effects, while others will show their effect over a longer period. In Dr Garcia’s words “And over time they drop, they sicken, singly and in multitudes, over years… [D]isaster has befallen and disaster will, I am certain, only worsen, for those who were either naive, terrified, gullible, stupid or indifferent enough to queue up for inoculations, and for those who were coerced into receiving them upon pain of loss of income and loss of inclusion in society.”

It is one thing for Dr Garcia to claim that the Covid vaccine is dangerous. It is another to claim that this is a plot to depopulate the world, where he likely has no unimpeachable evidence that he can lay before us. What evidence does he have that the climate “emergency” is a hoax? That there will be widespread censorship, digital identification, etc? Maybe in China but evidence is lacking for elsewhere.

He doubts the official accounts of the murders of the Kennedy brothers, Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, of the account of the 9/11 attack in New York. He extrapolates this further: “The collapse of democracy, signaled by the Deep State murder of JFK and culminating in Covid, is now complete. The Power Elites have won and the American political system is rigged so thoroughly that even candidates espousing constitutionalist principles are merely playing a game — a game determined by a Very Few at the top. In short, anyone with power or aspiring to power by having entered the political arena is thoroughly corrupt, anti-democratic and totalitarian. By extension, this line of thinking applies worldwide…”. A very large claim, unsupported by good (as opposed to conspiratorial) evidence. I’d suggest the collapse of democracy is better signaled by the rise of fascistic parties.

Dr Garcia castigates a couple of eminent scientists, Nessa Carey and Richard Dawkins, for talking about the beneficial effects of vaccines. He says “They are reputed to know a great deal of something in their specialized fields, but absolutely nothing when it comes to actual science and actual medical treatments and actual vaccines and real climate and weather and the oh-so-painstakingly obvious Agenda of the Few to enslave the Many.”

Dr Garcia is obviously unaware of the irony of criticising people working outside their area of specialty, since he is also outside his specialty (psychiatry) when he writes authoritatively about “actual vaccines and real climate and weather and the oh-so-painstakingly obvious Agenda of the Few to enslave the Many.”

He does have a couple of suggestions for “the opening of stubbornly closed Covid minds”. That might include some of us. He writes:

“To show, by example, that the fear they assume and have been assaulted into believing is baseless. No amount of talking, reasoning, lecturing, dictating, cajoling or persuading will be able to achieve anything in comparison to a live demonstration of calm fearlessness”. I suggest that a demonstration of calm fearlessness, presumably by the un-vaxed, would be indicative of a certain mind-set rather than a convincing demonstration that their position is correct.

And “To encourage, once an attitude of questioning has been engendered, a disavowal of mainstream media sources. In our vast proliferative decentralized realm of the internet one may occasionally lose one’s way, but one is far more likely to arrive at truth.” Whose truth? How can he tell? There’s an awful lot of blogs, etc, which disagree with his positions. Given the variety of dubious sources and disinformation available on the ‘Net, I think that deciding what is truth, when the mainstream media must be ignored, comes down to a matter of taste, i.e. that which conforms to a person’s existing ways of thinking.
