Liz Gunn and the MOAR

We’ve reported previously on Liz Gunn, the former TV presenter, now turned conspiracy theorist, who was the leader of the NZ Loyal political party. Her party received just 1.2% of the party vote, therefore denying their representation in parliament.

One of her claims before the election (on October 14th) was that she had evidence of a vast number of deaths because of the Covid vaccine. But, she wasn’t going to release this before the election, but soon after. Well, she’s now done that, with a video on the NZ Loyal website ridiculously titled “Operation M.O.A.R. The Mother of All Revelations”.

The video is about 8 minutes long, and in it she states she’s been in touch with a whistleblower who has all the shocking data that “proves” that the “jab” is bad and has caused tens of thousands of deaths in our country.

Apparently, she didn’t want to release the information before the election as she thought it would be too shocking to kiwis, and that she shouldn’t use our trauma for political gain. More likely, it would have further cemented her reputation as a gullible conspiracy theorist with no business being in political office.

The video details that the whistleblower is a “clinician mathematician” who is “very experienced in statistical analysis”. Clinician Mathematician sounds like a made up job title - and the closest I can find to this seems to be the real speciality of Medical Mathematician, but that seems to have nothing to do with statistical analysis of data, but more likely building algorithms for processing imaging data.

This whistleblower has “reviewed the data, and has confirmed our position that it is damning”, and that, according to Gunn, “tens of thousands of deaths linked to the jab”.

Alas, the whistleblower isn’t actually releasing the data, and not revealing who they are, so we can’t check up on this. You would think they’d be morally obligated to release this data given their claims that having a Covid vaccine entails serious risk of injury or death.

Gunn claims in the video that the OIA (Official Information Act) requests and responses prove all of the claims made, and that they were linked below the video. Well, on the NZ Loyal Website there are no such links. However, the video is hosted on the notorious Rumble site, which is a YouTube clone for conspiracy theorists. The post on there contains a couple of linked OIA responses from MedSafe and the Ministry of Health, and a detailed reading of those responses reveals no such proof.

Amusingly, the one of the linked documents reveals some information about the OIA submitter, that Gunn tried to obscure:

So, we know the first name of the OIA submitter begins with K and looks like it ends with n. Could it be a “Karen” - well, of course!

The name of the document gives a further clue:

I strongly suspect it’s a person called Karen Nightingale, who, according to her Linked In profile, is a Specialist Occupational Physician at Proactive - which is a physiotherapy provider.

The OIA request to MedSafe itself is really just a bunch of typical anti-vaxx talking points, strongly influenced by US-based anti-vax influencers:

“Please provide information to show:

1. When Pfizer or its agents first provided to any representative of the NZ government a copy of the CUMULATIVE-ANALYSIS-OF-POST-AUTHORIZATION-ADVERSE-EVENT-REPORTS-OF-PF-07302048-BNT162B2-RECEIVED-THROUGH-28-FEB-2021 that was recently released through the US courts,

2. when each of you first became aware of this document

3. when this document was first considered by Medsafe and each of the advisory committees to Medsafe and the result of each such assessment

4. when Medsafe and/ or MinHealth communicated with CARM about the adverse effects identified in this document and the contents of any such communications

5. when Medsafe and/ or MinHealth communicated with any other advisors or influencers including Nicky Turner, Prof Baker, Siouxie (sic) Wiles, any Coroner, NZMedical Council, NZ Nurses Council any DHB, Medical Officer or others about the adverse effects identified in this document and the contents of any such communications

6. information to show any changes to protocols or advice are have been made or are being considered as a result this or any similar report about the wide array of adverse effects that may be attributable to the Spike Protein and/ or to the PfizerVax

7. Any media or other public statements or changes to public communications as a result of this report.

8. Any information to show why in NZ deaths are reported as Covid death if they are WITH Covid (whether or not there is causation), but different much more stringent criteria are applied for reporting post PfizerVax deaths and what exactly these criteria are- especially when a death is from a disorder that Pfizer itself identified may be a result of the PfizerVax.”

MedSafe then provides a calm, reasoned response to those questions - hardly smoking gun evidence of the claims Gunn makes in her video.

MedSafe’s response to the final question contains a nice bit of snark (emphasis mine):

“Turning to your final question, you have questioned the classification of deaths from COVID-19 as opposed to those following immunisation with a COVID-19 vaccine, suggesting the former is more stringent than the latter. This question rests on a fundamental misunderstanding of the difference in certifying deaths (from whatever cause) and the reporting of AEFI. As noted above, while anyone can report an AEFI and the process is voluntary, the certification of a death is a mandatory and statutory process. Unless a death is referred to the coroner for determination under the Coroners Act 2006, the medical or nurse practitioner responsible for the care of the deceased person is required under the Burial and Cremation Act 1964 to certify the cause of death. It is for this reason the process outlined above involving CARM, CV-ISMB and Medsafe is undertaken to assess whether an AEFI is linked to vaccination (i.e., is a side effect). Death is not a side effect to vaccination but a possible outcome of a side effect, therefore the CV-ISMB, CARM and Medsafe do not determine the cause of death but whether there is a plausible link between vaccination and a side effect that may have resulted in death.”

The OIA request to the Ministry of Health was amusingly refused, with the response stating:

“The Ministry received numerous requests about the genesis of the Cumulative Analysis Report and has published responses to three of them on its website. They are available under the 12 January 2022 publication date for Information on Pfizer Cumulative Analysis Report at: www.health.qovt.nz/about-ministry/information-releases/responses-official-information-act-

requests. Your request is therefore refused under section 18(d) of the Act on the grounds that the information sought is publicly available.”

So, not secret information.

Gunn makes further claims in the video, including an astounding one that there were clusters of deaths - that a number of people all attended the same “jab site” on the same day, and 30 of those people are now deceased. But, provided without evidence, of course.

This is just not plausible. A massive cover-up would be required.

New Zealand/Aotearoa is a small country. It seems that everybody knows everybody, or at least the degree of connectedness is pretty high. Particularly with the advent of social media networks, the number of people that each of us has at least some peripheral connection to is pretty high. I don’t know of anybody who has died following the Covid vaccine. I don’t even know of anybody “harmed” by the vaccine, unless you count the expected minor side-effects in the day or two after having the vaccine. So, it’s just not plausible that there’s the claimed level of danger.

Gunn is calling for a criminal inquiry into the Covid vaccine - calling NZ a crime scene of “murder by needle”, and calling for everybody associated with the Covid response to have their phones and computers seized as evidence.

She’s offering to provide the data to Winston Peters, leader of NZ First, who, at least before the election, was calling for a Commission of Inquiry into our Covid response. Whether this will come to fruition now that he and his MPs are back in parliament is another matter. It appeared to me to be a populist ploy to gain the votes of the conspiracy minded people not willing to go as far as to support NZ Loyal. If the inquiry does happen, I’d imagine Peters wouldn’t want it tainted by the deranged theories of conspiracy theorists.

Finally, it’s a bit suspicious that the whistleblower is not releasing the information. It seems to me to be all smoke and mirrors, but no substance. We shall watch this space to see if anything further comes of this, and of course, whether the NZ Loyal party survives to still be a force at the next election.
