Our conference is coming up

The last time I wrote the newsletter, I announced our NZ Skeptics conference happening in Dunedin on the weekend of 24th - 26th November, at Taito Otago Settlers Museum.

We can now reveal that, in addition to a bunch of great local speakers, we've got two international speakers coming.

Susan Gerbic, famed psychic buster and leader of the Guerilla Skeptics on Wikipedia group, will be back again, inspiring us into skeptical activism.

Dr Melanie Trecek-King, who is an Associate Professor of Biology at Massasoit Community College in Massachusetts, and creator of Thinking is Power - a critical thinking course.

Both of these women will be joining us for the entire weekend, so there will be amazing opportunities to pick their brains about how we can improve our skeptical thinking and influence others to do the same.

We're in the process of getting the conference website up so you can book tickets. As part of that, we are also going to be offering some great, relatively cheap, accommodation for the weekend if that takes your fancy.

Anyway, watch this space. We'll hopefully announce the website for this exciting event in the coming weeks.
