Philippine Psychics Say No War

MANILA—Philippine psychics predicted last week that Iraqi troops will pull out of Kuwait and a Persian Gulf war will be averted.

A group of seven. self-proclaimed -psychics all agreed at a press forum that there would be no war.

One, popularly known as Madame Auring, said Iraqi President Saddam Hussein might die after ordering an Iraqi withdrawal from Kuwait before the Jan. 15 deadline set by the U.N. Security Council.

She dismissed U.S. President George Bush’s war ultimatum to Iraq as mere rhetoric and gimmickry intended to boost his chances of re-election.’

“The Gulf crisis is about to end and there will be no war,” said another, Remy Chan.
