Several members have sent me cuttings which I am afraid we can not use but which I am always glad to get. Malcolm MacCleary especially has sent me some good stuff on how to be a winning punter, news from the Order of the Magical Rose, Nelson and some more remarkable extracts from the Melchizadek Manuscripts. See how many clangers you can find in this passage:
"Ohm's law is C=E/R, now C is the energy or current, E is the electromotive generates the current. R is the resistance [conductor]. Now the same law applies to Matter (mass) and Man. E=mc2. Energy is E. Mass (us) is M. The speed of light is c2.
Current of light divided by light waves.
Now looked at from another perspective M/Man = E/c? = composed of energy divided light waves, + and —, Positive and negative."
Malcolm also sent me the front page of the Life Times of 27/11/88. This is a look at the newly rampant Christian schools, unfortunately too long to reproduce but I am sure familiar to most members. Most space is given to Tyndale Park school where Taha Maori is banned because it would involve the 'reversion to a barbaric, fear ridden and oppressive society' ??? Mime and Drama are wrong because a pupil is encouraged to become different personalities. By nature all men are dead in sin and totally polluted in all parts and faculties of soul and body. Discipline inhibits sinful lusts but encourages compliance with the law. And of course the world was created in 4000 B.C.
All this is terribly depressing but it does not seem that there is much we can do. Our first reaction might be to think that these children should be removed from their parents' control as clearly they are not responsible, just as drunken parents fail. However that is not on and would demand a degree of arrogance beyond even that of most skeptics. Perhaps our response should be to ensure that state education is improved and made more immediate and relevant. This is an opportunity for all members when the reforms in education take place, there will be vacancies on the school boards that we must fill and not leave to the loonies. There will be plenty of people trying to get creationism, iridology and astrology into the curriculums of schools and we have real opportunity.
Let me hear from you.
