An appeal (possibly two) from your typesetters
- 1 May 1988
You know those little white areas you don’t see at the bottom of newspaper columns, it would be nice if we could avoid them here too. Were it not for this message you would be looking at a blank (possibly shaded) space. In order that this catastrophe be avoided in future issues we make the following appeals:
- Quotations: If you have any small quotations or one-liners that you think are interesting send them to the editor so that a supply can be built up to use when we have a little space to fill.
- More contributed items in general. The more material there is, the better the issue and the more scope we have to arrange things.
Finally, if you are submitting something that has been produced on a computer, it makes our job easier if you could send a machine readable copy along with the printed text. We should be able to read ibm-pc or macintosh disks, and possibly others. Alternatively electronic mail to skeptics@comp.vuw.ac.nz will get to us.
